We received your letter with $15.00. We have sad news to announce. Khaya Moishevna Matusovskaya passed away January 10th. We bought some flowers for her grave and also the people who rest in Babi Yar.
Khaya’s first husband was killed by the Germans, and her mother, father, and two brothers were murdered in Babi Yar.
That is why we thought it was appropriate to bring flowers on the anniversary (of their deaths). We go to Babi Yar frequently and put flowers there.
Khaya was 86 years old. She had heart problems and was diabetic. We would like to use the money for the construction of her grave and for the flowers for the monument of Jews killed at Babi Yar.
